History of Volkswagen.

Volkswagen company started in the year 1937 in headquarters Wolfsburg, Germany. The main purpose of starting it was to reduce the prices of the people’s car in the world. It is leading in producing the passenger car segment with 9.8MM sales. The following year the name was changed to Volswagenwerk GmbH. Before the 2nd world war began in 1939 Ferdinand Porsche design the first people’s car or Volkswagen. During the 2nd world war, Volkswagen was used to produce military vehicles to go for the fighting. At that time more than 20,000 American was working at Volkswagen plant in different capacities such as aircraft repair and building rockets. During the war, the company focuses on the manufacturing of armaments instead of cars.

In 1945 towards the end of world war II, the British military took over the Volkswagen plant and Volkswagen type 1 Beetle begun. In 1948 German introduces the Volkswagen Type 2 van, pickup, and camper and Karmann Ghia sports car. In 1950,s the company increased its range and introduced the Volkswagen bus and commercial vehicle division of Volkswagen.

Volkswagen Touareg.

Touareg is one of the German automaker produced by the Volkswagen plant. The car offers 5 or 7 seat guises and powered by a variety of competent engines. Today it is the most used hence it has great value for their price.

Volkswagen Passat.

Passat evolved in the year 1973. It has several generations version since when it began up to today and still hoping for more versions in the future. It has pushed the boundaries up to upper-medium class, edging it closer to the premium segment and beyond. The new Passat model provides a new level of comfort, luxury, and performance.

Volkswagen Corrado.

Corrado evolved in the year 1989 to represent a tremendous breakthrough in the company. It died after the introduction of cost-cutting measures after a brief 6 years of production.

Volkswagen Beetle.

The first model was launched in 1938 and was simply knows as the Volkswagen. It began as a Germany people’s car. It has been converted into Volkswagen Beetle Cabrio which is now been upgraded in every time for the people’s use.

Volkswagen Polo.

It was first introduced in the year 1975 by German manufacturer Volkswagen. It was recognized as the best small car in the world. It was mostly sold in Europe and other markets worldwide. Up to today, polo has produced six generations and in 2010 it won in World car of the year.
